NEPTUN is leaving port after a major refit in Marstal

After a long stay in Marstal, NEPTUN sets out on the first test voyages before the circumnavigation that starts on 17 September from Skive.

It has regrettably been a long time since a post has been made about all the things that have taken place in Marstal, but we now intend to get better at updating the block.

In December 2022, we reported that the purchase of NEPTUN was a reality.
In January, we held the founding general meeting and unveiled the dreams and plans we had with NEPTUN. There were many raised eyebrows and skeptical souls present when we said that we expected to rally from Marstal in mid-August 2023.

During the winter and spring we piled everything organizationally on, and held a few working days to get ready for May, when the big yard period was scheduled to start.

In April, we cleaned the wheelhouse

After this, things took off and volunteers from all over the world showed up to help.

After this, the summer came to Marstal and we began a major renovation of the engine and the rest of the ship. A schooner had to be built.
