First work weekend
The first working weekend was hard. The list of tasks to be accomplished was long. But the fun was not forgotten!
Old foam insulation was removed so the brackets for the galley’s bottom frame could be welded into the deck by local blacksmith Mark Dalgård Nielsen.
The bottom frame of the galley also had to be assembled and fine-tuned to fit the shape and curves of the deck.
And then there was the big organisation of all the tools on board the ship, much of which came with the purchase.
After two days of hard work, the cabin frame was firmly on the deck. The tools were in order and the frame for NEPTUN’s further conversion was also ready. Which was particularly important as a team of 10 volunteers arrived the following Saturday!
